What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors post comments on the site, we collect the data displayed in the comment form and also the visitor’s IP address and browser’s user agent string to help detect spam. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) can be delivered to the Gravatar service to see if you use it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approving your comment, your profile photo will be visible to the public along with your comment.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may choose to store your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so you don’t have to fill out your information again when you write another comment. These cookies will last for a year. If you visit our login page, we will create a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is deleted when you close your browser. When you log in, we will set up a series of cookies and save your login information and screen selection choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen selection cookies last for one year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will last for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will disappear. If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be stored in your browser. This cookie does not contain any personal data and simply specifies the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other sites

Articles on this site may contain embedded content (such as videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other sites behaves in exactly the same way as if the visitor visited the other site. These sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with this embedded content, including tracking your interaction with embedded content, if you have an account and logged into that site.

Who we share your data with

We disclose data to third parties for the purpose of improving the individual user experience at https://www.nordicshield.dk. Therefore, data about your behavior on the site, which ads you receive and interact with, geographic location, gender and age group will be transmitted. Third-party tools include Facebook and Google. These process data solely on our behalf and may not be used for our own purposes. Personal information such as name and email will not be disclosed without consent.

How long we store your data

If you post a comment, comments and their metadata will be retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comment automatically instead of having them in a moderation queue. For users who register on our site (if any), we also store the personal information they provide to their user profile. All users may view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except that they cannot change their username). Site administrators can also view and edit that information.

What rights do you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have posted comments, you may request an exported file containing the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we delete all personal data we hold about you. This does not include any kind of data that we are required to store for administrative, legal or security reasons.
